Sharing your vows in a beautiful 17th Century rural Tuscan villa, surrounded by olive gardens and breathtaking backdrops, sounds like a dream right? Well thanks to local wedding planner Weddings By Silke, wedding photographer Anna Gianfrate, and a stellar team of talented Italian wedding vendors, Alana and Stefan's dream of an unforgettable Tuscan wedding weekend came true.

Over to Silke to tell us all about it: "With stunning panoramic views over the pretty valley, the enchanting Villa Montanare in Cortona was the perfect setting for their romantic wedding weekend. The Californian couple invited their 60 guests to a laid back pizza party at the pergola terrace of the intimate villa. To greet them with 'Benvenuti in Tuscany', the couple were inspired to create an Italian market-style get together with an Italian folk trio and rustic set up with mixed herbs, tomatoes, spaghetti, and a lot of delicious pizza from huge stone oven on site.

"On the wedding day, guests arrived slowly by shuttle and enjoyed at welcome drinks on the terrace while the couple and their closet friends enjoyed a charming hidden pre-ceremony party at the beautiful pool bar. The intimate ceremony was set in the back olive garden of the villa with a dreamy view out to the surrounding hills. We set it up like an amphitheatre to create a cozy intimate atmosphere, and followed the ceremony with a wonderful Apertivo of drinks and delicious Tuscan appetizers at the picturesque Pergola Terrazza.

"We created. a vibrant theme to reflect the couples' personalities. Colorful floral arrangements and a mismatch of lemons, grapefruits and oranges were a beautiful addition to the blue tablecloth, elegant wooden chairs and the neutral tableware and charming Limoncello guest gifts used as placeholders for their guests. Not to mention the reception was all under the olive trees filled with fairy lights - it was all absolutely divine!"
