We love Dover Hall Estate in Virginia as it exudes a luxe, European feel that would add old world charm to any wedding. From Claire Duran Weddings & Events: "This shoot was inspired by the luxurious beauty of Dover Hall Estate, a gorgeous mansion in the countryside of Virginia. We wanted to make this inspiration shoot a reflection of simple and classic elegance. The idea was to pair this aesthetic with a soft early spring color palette, and embrace the textures and majesty already embedded in the indoors of the venue and the raw natural elements in the outdoors. I didn’t want excessive decorations in our set that would overpower the rest of the space, yet it was fun to spice it up a bit with the strong yellow accent of the chairs that tied into the florals. The lace details in the dress and shoes, the delicate calligraphy on hand-made paper, the charming cake, the fragility in the petals, and the beautiful drape of the bouquet all provided us with special feminine details to further romanticize the inspiration."
