Windswept Lake Tahoe Real Wedding

Lauren and John's gorgeous Lake Tahoe wedding is a true testament to just go with it! This couple intentionally planned for a smaller, more intimate wedding with the focus on their new life together as one. Although unexpectedly windy, their big day was celebrated in style thanks to Lynette Boyle Photography with coordination by Tie The Knot By Tessa and design and florals by A Bud And Beyond. We always try to stress to brides that a little weather won't ruin their wedding day... it only adds an element of movement and life, if anything. Read on to find out what inspired their remarkable celebration and how all of the talented vendors came together to ensure their wedding day was just as they imagined...

From Lynette Boyle Photography: "Weddings are so much like life; no matter how much you plan and prepare, something inevitably happens that throws all your perfect plans out the window! Lauren and John planned an intimate destination wedding in Tahoe for 50 of their closest family and friends from Arizona (including Lauren's maternal and paternal grandparents!). The day before their wedding, cool temperatures and strong winds moved into the area. With 25mph gusts of wind and 50 degree temperatures, everyone was worried how their celebration would be effected. Fortunately the reception was being held indoors, but what about the ceremony and all the photos?

Wind can bring such energy to images, so instead of working against it, we embraced it when we could. They had a beautiful ceremony, officiated by Lauren's uncle. Blankets were placed at the ceremony for guests, ribbons fluttered on the chairs, and Lauren's hair danced in the wind. It was truly the most perfect imperfect weather. The wind on the beach during sunset was magical, and when you have an amazing friend like celebrity hair and makeup artist Patrick Ta on hand for touch ups, that's just the icing on the cake. After dinner, Lauren and John spent the evening celebrating on the dance floor and toasting with their guests!"

From Christina of A Bud And Beyond: "Lauren and John were understandably drawn to the dramatic natural beauty of Lake Tahoe but also wanted to be sure their wedding reflected a natural elegance. Flowers and décor were important to them and since they purposely had no bridal party, these elements took on an even greater role. We began the design process talking a lot about what they didn’t want, including not wanting something too rustic. The ceremony location at the Hyatt is a stunning spot with towering trees and a view of the lake. I positioned two lush garden urns to frame the couple and then draped lush greenery on the chairs with hanging ribbons in a pastel palette. Our nod to the mountains included some pine cones clustered down the aisle in a “not perfect” way.

I brought in light wood cross back chairs and draped the ceiling in café lights and used gold and rose gold to underscore the elegance Lauren wanted for her indoor reception. Gold brushed containers, glistening dupionique linens from La Tavola and gold toned votive candle holders and chargers complemented the tables. Our flowers were a lush combination of soft pastel garden roses, hellebores, pee gee hydrangeas and anemone with accenting olive and geranium. Accenting gold toned menus and table numbers in gold frames also added to the understated and traditional elegance."

From Tessa of Tie The Knot By Tessa: "Lauren and John have always enjoyed Lake Tahoe, as it offers a peaceful, fun and romantic setting. Originally, they wanted to rent a home on the lake for their wedding. I did some research, put together a list of venues, an itinerary, and hoped they'd find their dream venue on their initial wedding-related visit. The Hyatt Regency at Incline Village was not on that list, considering that getting married at a resort was not ideal for them. In fact, it was a spur of the moment stop, on their way to visit another venue. They fell in love with the ceremony site, nestled between 2, giant pine-trees and the beautiful view of the lake. They had the best of both worlds. The water and the lush landscape. It didn't feel like a resort. With their own private cottage on the water to keep family and friends close, they couldn't have been happier."

I have a completely positive feeling after seeing such a beautiful wedding.  One of my friends has recommended me about this place.

Wonderful blog, the woodland pictures capture the romance of the ceremony whilst the beach pictures capture the love and fun between the couple. Fabulous colours!
