Esther and Thaddaeus’ Wildly Organic and Spiritual Wedding
Esther and Thaddaeus' whimsically classic wedding, "growing from within" organic-style blooms, and timeless photographs by Taylor & Porter are giving us all the inspiration today. We also find it amazing that this couple found their venue and musings for their own day from a past Wedding Sparrow feature done by Louise as seen here. The soft pastel tones of the flowers by uber talented (and a favorite of ours!) The Garden Gate Flower Company add a femininity to the classic design. What a breath of fresh air....
From Taylor & Porter: "Thaddaeus & Esther chose the uniquely beautiful and timeworn venue of Enys House in Cornwall, England to exchange their vows at and celebrate their wedding in style. They found the venue through an editorial shoot feature of ours called “Echoes at Enys”, featuring the work of The Garden Gate Flower Company and Tebbey & Co. and published on Wedding Sparrow two years ago (see here). Their ceremony was held to the front of the building and their guests enjoyed a family style meal within the crumbling and timeworn walls, followed by dancing the night away. Choosing to pair a modern Laura De Sagazan gown with The Garden Gate Flower Company organic florals, Esther was a vision of summer beauty; and how pin-worthy is that bridal hair style!?
With family and friends from all over the world it was important that each aspect of the day was curated to make everyone feel comfortable by telling the story of our family heritage. The windswept Cornish landscape and rustic house at Enys, with the overgrown gardens, set the perfect wild backdrop. The Celtic character of the house softened by beautiful seasonal flowers, candles and specially made table cloths. The styling inspired from the 'Echoes at Enys" photo shoot by Taylor & Porter, with brutal simplicity and the idea that the flowers were growing from within the house. The service, a liberal Jewish ceremony, sympathetic to the wider philosophical and spiritual nature of the congregation provided intimacy. With food inspired by tastes and spices from Iberia and the Middle East and classical, flamenco, operatic, Celtic and Jewish music. There was no one there the eclectic day did not touch."
